Travel Tip From Your Friends at Mauna Lani Point

We strive to share the latest travel tip news with you to eliminate surprises.  Before you choose your airline you might want to check a useful tool on www.farecompare.com that allows you to compare the baggage fees that airlines have recently introduced.  Many guests travel with quite a bit of luggage and over-size sports equipment so baggage fees become an important point.  We recommend traveling as light as you can which means more money for play once you’re here!

Perfect stay on the big Island

We rented a Mauna Lani Point condo thru Classic Resorts for 5 nites in May 2010. We chose the fairway view with just a glimpse of the ocean but the whole complex sits right on the ocean. Beautiful pool and spa almost completely to ourselves. Lovely beach with chairs and cabanas. Maid service every day. The condo on the second floor in the A bldg was gorgeous.

Ukulele Jazz Festival On The Big Island

Most people naturally think of the ukulele as an instrument for playing Hawaiian music, but in the right hands – like those of Benny Chong, Byron Yasui and Ben Kaili, who will perform in this concert – it shows it is also extremely versatile in the realm of jazz music.

Experience this unique collaboration on Friday, June 25, 2010, 7 p.m. at the historic Palace Theater in downtown Hilo. Tickets are $20.00 in advance by calling the Palace from 10am to 3pm weekdays, or $25 at the door.

For more information call the Palace Theater at (808) 934-7010 or visit www.hilopalace.com.
