“Classic gem with warm aloha”

Mature grounds, spacious and well designed floor plans, each bedroom has a large en suite bath, and a large well equipped kitchen – a perfect family vacation.  Our 5th visit because of the warm aloha about this property.  No ocean views, but the beach is a hike or drive away and uncrowded and lovely. Management team is located near the entrance to Mauna Lani resort and were very gracious and helpful.  The Islands at Mauna Lani set the standard for outstanding design and comfort and is now competitively priced due to the addition of newer condo developments nearby.  Each unit is individually owned and decorated but the property management team guarantees uniform supplies, maintenance and good condition of each unit and furnishings.  This is a special place.

“We adore Mauna Lani – our favorite place on the Big Island!!”

Very quiet and peaceful, great beach for swimming and snorkeling, near good shopping and restaurants.  Discovered a 600-year-old village up the coast from there – great hike!!  Easy to get over to Hilo side.  Weather was perfect while we were there.  What more could we ask of a vacation?  URSULA AND HERB JOHNSON, California

Travel Tip From Your Friends at Mauna Lani Point

We’re always on the lookout for tips to make your flight over more comfortable.  Here’s a story by Heather Green on Farecompare.com “How to get that precious exit row seat.”

This is one of the 5 tips she suggests:

Five days before your flight, start checking for better seats.  A few airlines let their preferred members start upgrading to first class or business class five days prior to departure.  Some of these folks may leave behind choice seats, so checking for better seats in the five days before your flight can pay off.”
