We are honored to recognize Norma Camero, Executive Housekeeper for Mauna Lani Point, for her service of Aloha. Norma has been with Classic Resorts for 13 years. We asked her what she enjoyed about her job and she had this to say: “I meet a lot of families at Mauna Lani Point and it makes me happy to see them come back year after year. They call out “Hi Norma” and I remember them so well. I see the kids who were little ones when I first met them and now they are in college! One group I love to see started with some guests from many different places who met each other at The Point and just decided to start returning at the same time. The group got bigger and bigger and now there’s about 70 who reserve at the same time of year! Maybe the first time guests come for the oceanfront location but I think they return for the family feeling we have here.”
We are honored recognize Lei Kihara for her service of Aloha. Lei has been a member of the Classic Resorts Big Island Ohana for 14 years and has received many outstanding reviews for service and exceeding the expectations of our guests. If you had the opportunity to meet Lei during your stay and want to congratulate her please feel free to comment on this post.
We asked Lei what she liked about her job and this is what she had to say:
“One of the pleasures of my job is when return guests arrive and exclaim “We’re home!” as they sink into the chairs at my check-in desk. They feel reassured to see a familiar face and know that I’m going to make things right for their stay. I like the opportunity this position gives me to interact with different people – all ages from all over! Lately I’ve seen more young women in their mid-to-late 20’s traveling together on girlfriend vacations. Then of course, we have lots of couples, families and golfers. I would say that my love of people drives me to make sure each one leaves happy and satisfied.”
