Monty Python's Spamalot is a wildly comedic Broadway musical lovingly “ripped off” from the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Created by Eric Idle, the show follows King Arthur and his eccentric Knights of the Round Table on their absurd quest for the Holy Grail, blending clever wordplay, slapstick humor, and over-the-top musical numbers. True to the signature style of Monty Python, the musical breaks the fourth wall, pokes fun at Broadway itself, and features unforgettable songs like “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.” Since its debut, Spamalot has delighted audiences with its irreverent comedy, catchy score, and playful satire of both Arthurian legend and musical theatre traditions.
